How to Get Free Stuff on Temu 2024?

When you’re scrolling through your favorite social media feeds, it’s hard to miss the buzz—tons of people are raving about getting free stuff from Temu. As someone who loves to save money and score deals, I was instantly intrigued. Who wouldn’t want to share in the excitement of getting something for nothing?

But then, the skeptics chime in: “It’s a scam! You’ll never actually get anything free!” So, I decided to dive into the process myself, to see if getting free stuff on Temu is truly a deal or just a clever marketing scheme.

What Exactly is Temu?

Before we jump into the freebie frenzy, let’s get to know Temu a bit better. Temu is a shopping app created by a Chinese company, proudly boasting that it allows users to “Shop like a billionaire.” It’s a catchy slogan, implying that the products on Temu are dirt cheap—so cheap, in fact, that you can shop without a care in the world.

I took a spin through the app myself, and yes, the prices are low, but let’s be real—if you’re a Kmart fan like I am, you won’t find Temu’s prices all that revolutionary. Still, the lure of free products was strong enough for me to dig deeper.

How to Get Free Stuff on Temu?

Alright, so you’re interested in getting some free products on Temu? Let me walk you through the process step by step, based on my own experience.

1. Register for Temu

First things first, you’ll need to sign up. You’ll register using your mobile phone number and email address. Now, a quick tip—make sure to unsubscribe from their promotional emails right away unless you’re okay with a constant flood of marketing messages. Trust me, they can be relentless.

2. Choose Gift

Once you’re signed up, you’ll see an option to click on “All Gifts Free.” Here’s where the fun begins—Temu asks you to choose the free products you want.

Choose Gift

Sounds exciting, right? But here’s the catch: the products available weren’t exactly thrilling to me. Think cosmetics storage boxes, bedding, and shelves. If you’re like me and already have more than enough of these items, it might feel like a bit of a letdown.

But remember, Temu isn’t just offering these products out of the goodness of their heart. By selecting and browsing through these items, you’re actually helping Temu bring traffic to certain merchants. It’s all about getting you to engage with their platform and hopefully discover something you want to buy later.

3. Pack Products

Next up, you’ll “pack” the products you’ve chosen, which earns you energy points. Each time you pack, you get 50 energy. Sounds easy, right? But then comes the twist—once you pack your final product, you’ll hit a wall. Suddenly, Temu tells you that you need to invite friends to earn extra energy.

The first time I invited a friend, I earned 5 energy points, with a progress bar that showed 95% completion. The second invite earned me 4 more points, bringing me to 99%. But when I invited a third friend, I only earned a tiny fraction more, leaving me stuck at 99.9%. I tried inviting more friends, but despite multiple shares, I never quite reached 100% to claim my product. Frustrating, right?

4. Share the Code

At this point, it feels like the energy meter is just teasing you. No matter how many times you share your code, you just can’t seem to get that last bit of energy. But don’t lose hope yet! There are communities online—like code-sharing groups on Reddit—where people help each other out by sharing codes. Also, feel free to share your code in the comments section of this article, and I’ll encourage my readers to help each other out.

On Temu’s New Zealand platform, there’s also a game called Farmland, where you can select two free products. However, just like before, you’ll need to complete a series of tasks—watering virtual wheat, browsing products, and sharing with friends—before you can claim your prizes. I didn’t have the patience to see it through, and frankly, I wasn’t sure how many more tasks I’d have to complete to finally get those elusive freebies.

So, Is It Worth It?

If you’re dreaming of scoring free stuff on Temu, it might be time to wake up. This whole process seems to be more about keeping you engaged on their app, getting you to share and promote them to your friends, and ultimately driving traffic to their merchants.

I personally don’t have the time or energy to jump through all of these hoops for the slim chance of getting a free product. If you’re someone with plenty of spare time and a lot of patience, maybe you’ll have better luck. But as for me, I’d rather spend my time on other money earning activities that have a more certain payoff.

However, if you do manage to successfully claim a free product, I’d love to hear about it! Let me know in the comments how it worked out for you. Maybe I’m just missing the magic touch, but for now, I’m calling this one a clever marketing ploy rather than a real money-saving hack.
